Chances are you will have heard of a large festival that is held in Edinburgh every year, the largest performing arts festival in the World, the ‘Edinburgh Fringe Festival’ is a unique attraction that plays hosts to over 40,000 artist performances with almost 3,000 shows all performed in over 250 venues in Edinburgh.
Edinburgh plays host to the festival every year in the month of August and the fringe festival is open to absolutely anybody at all, everyone is welcome to perform. Some acts from previous years include comedians, magicians, street dancers, native folk singers, musicians, human statues and much more.
